A Different Approach to Achieve Different Results
One of today's biggest challenges is a lack of workforce. We collaborate with various organizations to empower people with the professional skills and personal development needed to build a stronger West Virginia.

How We Invest In Our Employees
Thank you for taking time to learn more about us. If you have found yourself stuck...dead end job, struggling to make ends meet, lack of job skills, and generally wondering what your purpose is...we encourage you to keep reading. While we don't pretend to have all of the answers, we know what it is like to try to do right but making little progress.

When we were 20-something... It felt like for every step we made in the right direction, life pushed us back two steps. Some of our choices weren't ones we are proud of. In 1994 we surrendered our life to Jesus. And he put people in our lives who would forever change us by mentoring and empowering us. We, in turn, have spent the last 15 years paying it forward in our community. We have run family programs to teach skills in financial stability, physical wellness, healthy relationships and emotional wellness. We invest in our employees by bringing portions of these programs to American Home Renewal. This allows our employees to grow both professionally and personally.

In addition, we offer flexible scheduling for our employees who are taking college classes. Our ultimate goal is to build a team of employees who feel valued and inspired to be the best version of themselves both on and off the job.

Perry's Story
I grew up on the streets of Philadelphia. At one point found myself in jail and being falsely accused of a serious crime. Luckily, the DA got to the truth and the charges were dropped before ever going to trial. But the men in my church saw that I needed some guidance. One of them was a member of a local union and helped me secure a position in the glazier apprenticeship program. I worked through the apprenticeship and have been a successful glazier and instructor for over 30 years. I can provide for my family, purchase a home, and live a life of stability doing what I love.

Cheryl's Story
As a kid I felt like I was directed to be a secretary. I wasn't encouraged to explore life's possibilities. By the time I was 24, I was broke, my marriage fell apart, and I was struggling to find myself. Fortunately, strong women came into my life who showed me that I could become whatever I put my heart into. While that sounds beautiful, it took a lot of hard work and dedication. I had to learn how to have healthy relationships, how to budget my money to build wealth, and how to eat well and be physically active so that I had the ability to do everything I wanted to accomplish. I eventually successfully started and ran a non-profit in Philadelphia and found out just how satisfying life is when you are walking in your purpose.
